Moriz Jung

Moriz Jung

Moriz Jung (1885–1915)

Moriz Jung was one of those rare artists who burned bright and vanished too soon.

Born in Moravia and trained at Vienna’s legendary Wiener Werkstätte, he captured the wit and rhythm of early 1900s Europe through bold shapes, playful geometry, and rich colour. His posters felt alive- modern, mischievous, and full of movement.

Jung’s life was cut short in World War I, at just thirty. But his work- vibrant, clever, unapologetically alive- continues to remind us how art can hold both joy and tragedy in the same breath.
