Self-Portrait, 1931 Art Print | Amrita Sher-Gil Wall Art

Self-Portrait (1931) by Amrita Sher-Gil

Paris, 1931. Sher-Gil turns into profile beneath a yellow bonnet, a dark blue dress set against a textured blue background.

Rather than meet our gaze, she looks beyond the picture's edge. The bright hat, the hand resting on the table and the cup beside her turn a self-portrait into a carefully staged encounter.

The yellow bonnet against blue brings a bright accent to a reading corner or study. Choose this self-portrait as a colourful wall art print for your home, or a housewarming gift for a friend who collects portraits and stories of artists.
